When will I receive my shipment?
Standard Shipments
Most in-stock items will be shipped within two business days after an order is placed. Orders being shipped to addresses in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota and Missouri typically arrive in 1-3 business days. All other addresses in the remainder of the 48 contiguous United States will arrive in 2-5 business days (depending on your proximity to Indiana.) Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico should allow 5-7 business days to receive shipments. Saturday, Sunday and holidays are not included as business days when estimating a shipment’s time-in-transit
Express Shipments
Express orders must be placed before 1 pm EST if they are expected to be shipped the same day the order is placed. All express orders placed after 1 pm EST will not ship until the following business day. Saturday, Sunday and holidays are not included as business days when estimating a shipment’s time-in-transit. If you would like a Saturday delivery, please contact Customer Service at customerservice@uspurdue.com or 1.800.860.9911 to receive a quote on additional shipping costs.
*Please note that we ship via USPS and UPS. We choose the carrier that will get your package to you as quickly as possible.
How do I return/exchange items purchased?
Items that have not been used, laundered, or worn may be returned or exchanged. Please include the sales receipt and/or packing slip with your return. If you do not have either please include your order number or contact information of the purchaser. Exchanges require a $5.95 shipping fee which the purchaser is responsible. Delivery charges are non-refundable. No COD returns/exchanges are accepted. Please Note: If you return an item that was accompanied by a FREE promotional item, you are required to return the promotional item as well. If you do not return the promotional item, the value will be deducted from the amount of your return. Please email us at customerservice@uspurdue.com with any questions.
If you would like to exchange sizes on a promotional item, please contact us before mailing it out.
What if my package is lost or damaged?
If your shipment does not arrive or the package/merchandise is damaged in any way, please contact Customer Service at customerservice@uspurdue.com or 1.800.860.9911 as soon as possible to ensure replacement of lost/damaged items. We will contact the shipping carrier to file any needed claims.
How are gift orders handled?
Orders indicated as being gift shipments will not include receipts or garment price tags. Gift messages can be included and personalized during the checkout process.
What if the shipping service is disrupted because of adverse weather conditions?
University Spirit will make every effort to prepare your package for timely delivery. In the event your shipment is delayed by adverse weather, we apologize and thank you for your patience, but please note that delivery charges are non-refundable and University Spirit is not responsible for disruptions within the transportation network.
Can I pick up my order at one of your retail locations?
Yes. Customers can choose to pick up their online order at one of our Lafayette/West Lafayette retail locations rather than having it shipped. Shipping charges do not apply to in-store pickup orders. Simply choose “In-Store Pickup” as your shipping method upon checkout. We ask that you allow us 48 business hours to get your order packaged and delivered to the requested pickup location. You will receive a phone call to let you know when your package is ready for pickup. If you would like a more accurate time-frame as to when your package will be ready, please contact us at customerservice@uspurdue.com or 1.800.860.9911.
Will the shipping carrier leave my package without a signuature?
Signatures are NOT REQUIRED for most shipments. If the recipient is not home at the time of delivery, the carrier driver will decide whether or not to leave the package at the address or attempt a re-delivery when the recipient is home. THIS IS ENTIRELY LEFT UP TO THE DRIVER’S DISCRETION. Many drivers will not leave a package unattended in urban areas or in neighborhoods where they deem the chances of package theft are high. Please consider having your package shipped to an address where you or someone you know will be available to receive it in person.

Do I need to add sales tax to my order?
If either the billing or shipping address on your order is based in the State of Indiana, then you will need to add 7% Indiana Sales Tax to your order subtotal.

Do I get a discount for being a Purdue Alumni Association Member?
Yes. Active Purdue Alumni Association members receive a 15% discount online and in our stores. To receive a discount code to use online, please call the Purdue Alumni Association office at 1.800.414.1541. They will verify your membership and issue you a discount code to use at purduegear.com. For in-store purchases, simply bring your Purdue Alumni Association membership ID card. Certain products and services are not eligible for discounts.
What if I receive items I did not order?
In the case of an error made on our part, please hold on to the merchandise you received and contact us immediately at customerservice@uspurdue.com or 1.800.860.9911. We will get the correct merchandise shipped out to you as quickly as possible, and we will cover all shipping costs to get the incorrect merchandise returned to us. DO NOT SHIP BACK THE INCORRECT MERCHANDISE UNTIL YOU CONTACT US.
Do I get a discount for being a Purdue Staff member?
Yes. Employees of Purdue’s West Lafayette campus, Regional campuses and Extension Offices receive a 15% discount online and in our stores.
